Payroll Update 13 April 2022

News for School Payroll Staff

13 April 2022

Kia ora,

The first new pay cycle is now one week away, starting 20 April.
Our 4 April payroll update outlined things you can do to prepare. If you want to check it out, it is here.

The NOVO31 form will become EP31

The EP31 form will replace the NOVO31 form and has been redesigned, with up-to-date content and a new name. You’ll see it on the www.edpay.govt.nz forms page soon.

SUE adjustment and out of cycle payment reminders

Once the new pay cycle has started, please submit an EP31 (one per affected employee) for a SUE adjustment or out of cycle payment.

Remember to use the correct email subject line wording:

  • SUE adjustment (name, MOE number)
  • Out of cycle payment (name, MOE number)

Without the correct email subject line, your request may not be identified and processed.

Termination and out of cycle payments on the SUE reports

On the SUE report you’ll see boxes around termination and out of cycle payments so you can identify them:

To calculate the funds paid from your bank on pay day, subtract these amounts from the pay period’s total pay in the direct debit column.
