This newsletter focuses on getting prepared for your school’s ACC levy, reminding you to consider any unresolved overpayments, and updating you on our progress with the forms portal.
Your school’s ACC levy invoice is now available
You can now download your ACC levy invoice from EdPay

Your ACC levy will be deducted on 8 September
Your levy will be deducted from your school’s account on 8 September 2026. Please make sure you have enough funds in your account on that date.
Consider what you want to do if you have unresolved overpayments
You may have received an email from us about unresolved overpayments
If you’re a school principal and your school has unresolved overpayments, you should have received an email from us last week.
Unresolved overpayments are overpayments that Education Payroll has:
- been unsuccessful in recovering
- are considered unlikely to be recovered.
Let us know what you would like to do
If you received a letter about unresolved overpayments from us, please consider the information, and discuss it with your Board, finance teams, and auditors.
Once you’ve done this, let us know if you would like us to either:
- increase our efforts to collect the overpayment, or
- write off the debt.
Aim to sort out your unresolved overpayments by December
It would be good to sort out your unresolved overpayments by the end of the school financial year. If you want to discuss the overpayment, contact us at overpaymentsupport@edpay.nz
If you need to discuss how the unresolved overpayment could affect your school's financial statements, please contact school.finances@education.govt.nz
We’re continuing to roll out the forms portal
Beta schools got access to the forms portal on 11 August
The roll out of the new forms portal is progressing well, with Beta schools successfully accessing and using the portal. During the first three days, Beta schools successfully submitted 120 forms.
Beta schools have also been giving us really useful feedback. They’re helping us make sure we get the forms portal right for everyone. Thanks, Beta schools!
We’re on track to give all schools access to the forms portal on 8 September
We’ll send you more information before your school gets access, including what your school needs to do to get ready.
You can start getting ready now
You can start getting ready to use the forms portal by:
Beta schools that have begun using the forms portal have told us that they found both these resources very helpful.
To access the forms portal, you’ll also need to link your Education Sector Logon (ESL) and EdPay accounts before your school’s go-live date. Most of you have already done this. However, if you haven’t yet linked your accounts, go to our webpage Getting started in EdPay for instructions.
